Sky High Skewers and Cherry Cloud Dip

As you saw, I had fruit kabobs with dip at Lucas' one year birthday party. There was absolutely nothing difficult about either, although the skewers do take a little time. In fact, the most time was spent cutting cloud shapes for the cantaloupe.

So really, there isn’t much a recipe here except to tell you how I made my Cherry Cloud Dip.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese

  • 1 jar marshmallow fluff (I didn’t use the entire jar… maybe ¾?)

  • 1 TBSP maraschino cherry juice

Directions:

  • Allow cream cheese to soften. If you have time, just set it out until room temp. If not, microwave it in short increments until it’s easily able to stir

  • Add in your fluff and cherry juice. Stir to combine.

Yep, that’s it! I know it doesn’t seem possible that something that simply could be delicious but it was the perfect semi-sweet compliment to all of the fresh fruit. I’m sure you could substitute other fruit juices to change the flavor a bit but I really enjoyed the cherry (and quite frankly, that’s what I had on hand!).

Another bonus? After everyone left I polished off the rest of the dip with pretzel rods. YUM. The sweet and salty combo with a hint of cherry was fantastic too!

That sounds delicious! This seems like the perfect thing to bring to our friends' annual July 4th cookout!
