Ingredients:
- 1 pouch of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix (I've said it once, I'll say it again... I am NOT above making things using the help of a box/bag mix!)
- 1 stick butter or margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp fresh grated orange peel (optional)
- 4 cups sweetened coconut flakes
- Hersheys kisses
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a bowl, stir together cookie mix, butter, egg and, if desired, orange peel until soft dough forms. Mix in two cups coconut.
- Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in remaining coconut; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until the edges of cookies are lightly browned.
- Cool slightly; press on kiss into center of each cookie.
- Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack and let cool completely.
Doesn't get much easier than that. And I do love any chocolate/coconut combination. Merry Christmas everyone!
