Pickle Patience

I stumbled upon a recipe that sounded too fun not to try... homemade pickles! This recipe was insanely easy and took less than 10 minutes to throw together. The tricky part? Waiting the two days to try the finished product!

Ingredients:
  • Garlic, minced
  • Two cucumbers
  • Fresh Dill

Brine:

  • 3 Cups water
  • 6 TBSP white vinegar
  • 3 TBSP salt

Directions:

  • Mix up the brine, set aside
  • Slice cucumbers (I made pickle chips, but you could easily make spears too!)
  • In your jar, add some fresh dill at the bottom and add some cucumber slices.
  • Repeat this until the jar is full.
  • I sprinkled minced garlic on top.
  • Pour in brine until jar is full and wait two days before opening!

Here is an awful picture to help illustrate:

After two days, I was ready to test them out! I wasn't sure what to expect.... It was a success! The pickles were delicious and tasted like they came from a deli!
