No-fuss focaccia

As I mentioned in my last recipe, I made some focaccia. I love going to Panera Bread to get this, but I thought why waste the money! I found a recipe that is not only delicious, but no-fuss. Don't believe me? Just try it! It is definitely baby steps towards making more bread...

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 3 TBSP olive oil (plus additional for drizzling)
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 cups flour (I use unbleached King Arthur All-Purpose flour)
  • 1 TBSP instant yeast

Directions:

  • Grease (I use Pam spray) a 9"x13" pan and drizzle olive oil in the bottom
  • Combine the ingredients and beat with a hand mixer for 60 seconds
  • Scoop the batter into the pan, cover the pan (I just used a kitchen towel), and let it rise at room temp for 60 minutes
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F while you are waiting for your dough to rise
  • Gently poke the dough all over with your index finger
  • Drizzle it lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning (I used the HyVee brand of Italian Seasonings. Don't have it? Buy it! You'll use it a lot!)
  • Bake the bread until it's golden brown, 35-40 minutes
  • Remove pan from oven and wait five minutes, then turn the bread out of the pan onto a cooling rack

Bread making doesn't getting any easier than this!
